Dirty?

Dirty Rice? More like Dirty Trick! When mom asked me if I wanted to help make dinner, I thought my culinary talents were finally being called upon. Sitting here holding an empty box and a cucumber are NOT going to get me a guest spot on Iron Chef. Ultimately I ended up wearing the empty box on my hand like a useless lobster claw, which mom thought was hilarious. She's so easily entertained...

Have a great weekend everyone!

This Guy.....

....Is now officially sleeping through the night! Mom finally got a clue, and started giving me that yummy cereal that makes me pass out like a fat baby in church. Administered right before bath time, with a warm milk chaser, and I'm putty in her hands. Good job Mom!

Beach Trip

My first trip to the beach was a blast!
After catching some "tasty waves," I caught a quick nap next to my boogie board.  This beach thing is fun, and mom says I did great!  She went overboard on the sunscreen (worry-wart!), but in this full bodysuit I was wearing, was there ever really a concern about sunburn?  All in all a great trip.   The waves and the wind didn't scare me at all!  I'll tell you what was upsetting to me-  seeing my mom in a swimsuit, and the size of my dad's hair in that humidity!!  Yikes!

The pout

My Aunt Sherri made me post this. Proof that my sunny disposition is prone to intermittent bouts of pouting. I assure you, it's usually short-lived!

Have a great weekend everyone! I'm headed to the beach!

First bowl of cereal

Dont' get me wrong, I love a good bottle of milk. It's been a mainstay for me these last couple of months.  But there's something so satisfying about finally learning how to eat like a big boy.   Sure, it tastes like glue-  but this stuff will stick to my ribs!   Mom says that if cereal goes well, we can try pears next week.  My doctor said I'm big enough to start trying lots of different new tastes.   I like this guy!   Well, I did like him...  Until he stuck two big fat needles in my thigh.   Rude.

Cross Country..

Let's be honest with ourselves- traveling the world on someone else's dime is always a good time. Seattle, you were beautiful. Bunking with Uncle John and Aunt Shelly while my mom rocked out at her umpteenth Rush concert was loads of fun. Many thanks to my cousin Lucy, who made sure I was stocked with toys to play with.

Mom says someday she will take me to the Rush show, but I'm thinking that those guys are pretty freaking old already- better not hold my breath on that one. Besides, I'm more of a Pink Floyd guy anyway.

This lovely lady is my Grammy. After Seattle, we ventured to Austin, TX for me to meet the rest of the relatives. My Aunt Sue and cousin Megan were there, as well as my Aunt Catherine and Uncle Jared (and cousins). I'm not even exaggerating when I say that I was quite a hit with these people. I was on my best behavior, and my most charming self. I didn't sleep so well, but mom says no worries, she's used to it.

My cousin Maj-Lis (that's Swedish for 'cute as a button').

My cousin Hudson, who said to everyone I had the littlest toes he'd ever seen. "They look like Gummy Bears!" He also called me Baby Jackers, which seemed to stick for the whole trip.

In case you can't make me out, I'm the baby with the slightly larger head. Thanks mom, for taking me on a great vacation, and for single-handedly lugging me and my pile of junk through some of the finest airports in America. Traveling with a baby is no joke!

Leaving on a jet plane...

You're just going to have to do without me for a little while. My mom is taking me on a fabulous, all expenses paid vacation to Grandma and Grandpa Huffman's house in Texas. But before that, we are flying to Seattle to see my Uncle John and Aunt Shelly. Not to mention the lovely cousin Lucy. I have promised my worried mother that I will behave on the plane, but she doesn't look reassured. Apparently I have a temper, and I get bored sitting in one spot. (I didn't know this about myself.) She says a 5 hour plane ride is like 17 hours in baby time. Really, I think she underestimates the power that these sweet cherub-like cheeks will have over the most disgruntled of seat mates.

I may only be 4 months old, but this traveling thing isn't new to me. I've already been in 7 states! Two more will be a piece of cake!
Bon Voyage!

Sleeping Beauty

I slept through the night last night! The ironic thing is that my mom had the worst night of sleep ever- She kept getting up to make sure I was still breathing! A creepy ghostly hand hovering in front of your face doesn't lend to sweet dreams. Still, I don't want to worry my poor mom- I think I'll be considerate, and go back to waking up every three or so hours...

Have a great weekend everyone!!!

Water Baby

I went swimming for the first time! Along with Aunt Sherri's big new house, comes a big new pool. Surely a guest as cute as me will always be welcome. I wasn't sure about this swimming thing at first, but  thanks to my cousin Olivia, I got the hang of it really quick. I even went under the water twice!
